The local chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa has an interesting history around it. In 1966, the Lambda Pentaton chapter was chartered with the Grand Chapter. A few years later in 1968, a Sigma Epsilon chapter of Phi Sigma Epsilon was also chartered on the Ferris State Campus.

In the late 70's the Lambda Pentaton chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa became inactive. In 1985, after the merger between Phi Sigma Kappa and Phi Sigma Epsilon, the Sigma Epsilon chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa was born, inheriting with it all of the traditions and members of both organizations. Although the Lambda Pentaton chapter is inactive, the charter, composites, and alumni are still a part of our chapter.

Our flag: has dimensions of 7 feet by 5 feet and consists of three horizontal bars of equal height. The bottom bar symbolizes First and Second Degree members and the basis of Fraternity is red. The middle bar symbolizes Third and Fourth Degree members and the field of fraternal service is silver with our Greek letters (FSK) centered in red. The top bar symbolizes Fifth and Sixth Degree members and our Grand Chapter is red with the tumbling t's and circle emblem located within a triangle of silver at its left end.

Our Badge: The official badge is that of Phi Sigma Kappa and there is continued recognition for those brothers who received the Phi Sigma Epsilon badge prior to the merger.
